Nashville Visit with Lennis & Judy

Carnton Plantation, Eastern flank in the Civil War Battle for Franklin, TN. At one time in the battle there were over 400 dead or wonded soldiers in the house and 4 dead General Officers laid out on the porch

Judith and Judy in the "Smoke House" this is where the plantation (in the fall of the year) salted and smoked the meat that was used for the rest of the year.



Aprox 1500 Confederate soldiers were burried on the plantation. The Union soldiers had been moved a short distance to a US cemetry
